Health Insurance (Year 2005)

All international students are required to purchase the health insurance while they are studying in NPU regardless of whether they will take breaks in the current semester or not. • Cost: One student $641 per year
  Notes:
  1. This plan does not cover dental and vision treatments.
  2. This plan does not cover regular checking.
  3. Covered persons are responsible for a $250 deductible per policy year.
  4. The company will pay 90% of the allowance if it is within the network; 70% if it is NOT within the network.
  5. Dependents must be enrolled on the date student is enrolled or within 31 days of date of birth, or date of marriage.
• Insurance coverage time: Feb. 1st, 2005 - Feb. 1st, 2006
• Temporary/Permanent Insurance Card:
  • Temporary card: Due to the processing time, the permanent health insurance card can be picked up at the Information Window 5 weeks after the add drop time. Students can use the temporary insurance cards to visit the doctors before they receive the permanent insurance cards. Temporary insurance card is equivalent to the permanent insurance cards.
  • Permanent card: Due to the processing time, the permanent health insurance card can be picked up at the Information Window 5 weeks after the add drop time.
