October 24, 2008 San Francisco Field Trip 
On October 24, 2008, NPU Student Associate held a San Francisco Field Trip. About 160 students joined this trip.

10:00am sharp left NPU.

On the bus:



First Destination-- Treasure Island. Treasure island is an artificial island in the SF Bay between SFO & Oakland.



Second Destination-- S.F. City Hall. The City hall of San Francisco, opened in 1915 in its open space area in the city's Civic Center, is a Beaux-Arts Monument to the brief "city Beautiful" Movement that epitomized the high minded American Renaissance of the period 1880-1917






Third Destination-- Lombard Street. Lombard street is bets known for the one way section on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth streets, in which the roadway has eight sharp turns (or switchbacks) that have earned the streeet the distinction of being the crookedest street in the world.



Forth Destination-- Fisherman's Warf. It is a very popular tourist attraction in SFO.



Fifth Destination-- Palace of Fine Arts.



The last Destination-- Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge, which opens the SF Bay onto the Pacific Ocean. It was the longest suspension bridge span in the world.

October 3, 2008 New Student Welcome Party 
On October 3, 2008, NPU Student Associate held a new student welcome party at Warms Spring Community Park. About 300 students joined the party.

September 26, 2008 Intel Museum Trip 
About 30 People went to Intel Museum on September 26, 2008

The Intel Museum, located in Santa Clara, California, USA, showcases Intel's history through unique, educational exhibits designed to let people explore Intel's advanced technology and manufacturing first hand.

The museum is 10,000 square feet of fun and interactive learning for children and adults. Located within Intel Corporation's headquarters in Santa Clara, the museum offers a unique Silicon Valley experience for thousands of visitors from around the world each year.

The Summer PingPong Game on August 16, 2008 
2008 Summer is shaping up to be the semester of the NPU table tennis. 14 contestants have entered the competition.

First, second and third prizes have been awarded to men and women.
For men's competition, David Chao has won the first prize , Jignesh has won the second and Tony has won the third prize. For women's competition, Na has won the first prize, Wen Wen has won the second prize and Shirley has won the third prize.

Many students participated in this competition and enjoyed the pizza and snacks. Thanks to the help from two professional PingPong players, Mr. Liang and Mr. Wang for their help in this event. Thanks Archer and other student association members in offering help to this event.

The NPU Hiking Club went to Huddart Park on August 8,2008 
About 25 members of the NPU Hiking Club Huddart Park on Friday, August,8,2008. It was a beautiful day and they enjoyed a
2.7-mile loop hike through the Huddart Park.
