Biography of the speaker:
Dr. Li received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Peking University, Beijing, China. He earned his MSEE and Ph.D. from Purdue University in the field of semiconductor microelectronics. His entire professional life has been in Silicon Valley, including experiences with Advanced Micro Devices, Vishay Siliconix, Intersil, etc. His expertise has been in the field of semiconductor device, process and modeling. His current research interest is on IC circuit and system reliability.

Biography of the speaker:

Dr. Nik Tehrani teaches E-Business Technology, Management, and Marketing courses at the University of California, Berkeley extension, California State University - East Bay, and Northwestern Polytechnic University in Fremont, CA. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Electronic Commerce from Northcentral University, holds an MBA with a specialization in Executive Management from Pepperdine University and a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Tehrani is also the Global Director of Program Management at Sanmina-SCI, a leading EMS provider focused on delivering complete end-to-end manufacturing capabilities and highly complex solutions to technology companies around the world. Prior to Sanmina-SCI, he was the managing director and founder of Majital Solutions in Fremont, CA; VP of Sales and Engineering of ACI in Hayward, CA; and VP of Operations of CoMan Manufacturing, Inc. in San Jose, CA.

Dr. Michael Wang has had over ten years of professional experience in the IC processing and development industry as well as in entrepreneurial investments. His technical expertise includes thin film technology and device as well as financial risk management.

This presentation will survey 20th century American mental disorders and their major psychotherapies and psychotropic medications. Two dozen different talk therapies will be described. This PowerPoint lecture is the same one that NPU professor Dr. Don Bradley gives to students at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Don Bradley teaches psychology, health psychology, sociology, public administration, American government, project management and civilization and urbanization at NPU, abnormal psychology and psychotherapy treatment at Stanford, and city planning at San Jose State University. He has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and an MS in city planning. He has also taught at UC Berkeley and UC Davis and Michigan State University and trained at USC, University of Michigan, Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, Stanford, Harvard and MIT. He is retired from El Camino Hospital and a Colonel, US Air Force retired.

In his early professional career, Dr. Gaspay worked on farm systems development projects in the Philippines. Later he was in charge of projects having economical impacts in Southeast Asia. Dr. Gaspay was a member of the faculty of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) from 1993-2000, teaching graduate degree management courses and executive development courses in Manila (Philippines), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Thimpu (Bhutan) and Hanoi (Vietnam). He co-pioneered the teaching of an environmental management course and the incorporation of environmental sustainability topics in the regular business courses at AIM, supported by a MacArthur Foundation grant in 1994-1995. He also served as the Director of the Environment Management Bureau of the Philippines from 1996-1997.

Since 2001, Dr. Gaspay has focused his effort on teaching while serving as management consultant at the Community Child Care Council in San Jose.
