Abstract:
With the economic downturn hitting hard, and as the economy tries to rise out of the abyss, the Enterprise Application space of ERP / CRM / B.I. is undergoing a massive transformation. The rules of the games have changed and new rules are coming into force. Along with the new rules emerge new career roles for fresh graduates.
Introduction to the speaker:
Mr. Sankaran is the Founder-Director of Stratitude. He has around 20 years of experience in the Enterprise Applications space of Business Intelligence, CRM, ERP, and MRP. Mr. Sankaran is responsible for overall strategy and operations of the organization. Some clients of Stratitude include Yahoo, Symantec, Cisco Linksys, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Prior to Stratitude, Mr. Sankaran was with Ramco Systems Corporation – USA as Senior Vice President responsible for building and managing their IT Services Business Division. In his career with Ramco, Mr. Sankaran was instrumental in building global client bases like Honeywell, Fidelity, Cardinal Health, Cisco, Swatch Group in Switzerland and others. Mr. Sankaran worked with Wipro and Caterpillar India before joining Ramco in 1994. Khannan holds a MBA & B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from India.

Abstract:
The purpose of this seminar is to give students an introduction to a practical VLSI design project. The seminar will use a DDR controller design project as a demo. This project has a medium-level complexity.
This seminar will enable you to understand a customer’s request, plan a design, implement a design by Verilog coding, do basic design methodology, utilize SIP, write a test vector, verify a design, debug, etc. In the future, this project can include a full-design flow, from design to physical implementation.

Mr. Kyle Chuang began his entrepreneurship journey by establishing KC & Associates Insurance Agency in 2006. With an EE background and years of experience in the software engineering industry, Kyle was able to fully utilize his analytical strength to help customers identify their risk exposures and insurance needs. Also, he brings the best technology to the agency in order to better assist clients in a timely and effective manner. Kyle is bilingual in both English and Mandarin. He was a regular guest speaker in Sing Tao Radio Station and his professional insurance articles are often published in Chinese newspapers and magazines. Kyle enjoys working with people. He actively participates/volunteers in events held by Chong Hwa Saint Tao Yuan, The American Cancer Society, and San Jose Kendo Dojo.
